Going for their third win this week at home, the Prescott Badgers ran into a pitcher who was not dominate, but was on his game, in senior Todd Johnson. Saguaro beat the Badgers 5-0, but it was Johnson who held Prescott hit less, and not allowing a batter to reach first till the final inning.
Saguaro led off with a single by Ty Nelson who latter scored on a single by Miles Crutchley off of Badger starter Jacob Police.
The game stayed 1-0 till the fourth, when the Sabercats put four more on the board, and chasing Police. Luke Fredrick came in and after giving up a run, shut the door.
Down to their final out in the seventh, the Badgers were finally able to get a base runner, courtesy of an error by the Saguaro second baseman. Jacob Police reached base giving Prescott a glimmer of hope. Korey Schwartz earned a walk, putting runners at first and second. The final out came on a fly ball to right center, ending the game and giving Todd Johnson his no hitter.
The Badgers (3-4) play in the Bob Everett Tournament today down in Gilbert. First up is Poston Butte at 11:30am, followed by Mesa at 2pm.

The Prescott Badgers had scored 35 runs in their past two games, but yesterday ran into a brick wall at the plate, in getting beat by the Saguaro Sabercats 16-0 in Scottsdale.
The Sabercats pounded out 17 hits with only three going for extra bases. The Badgers managed just three hits off of senior Caelen Koch.
Saguaro improved to (6-1), while Prescott dropped to (4-3) and will play their first Grand Canyon Region game at Mingus, on Tuesday at 3:45pm.
