The Prescott Badgers needed double overtime to take care of the Bradshaw Mountain Bears in a game that lasted to nearly 10pm at Prescott High School.

Cold conditions did not hamper the efforts and determination of both squads, as temperatures dipped into the low 20s, and a windchill into the teens.

Cade Tutrone scored the only goal of the first half. The Badgers led 1-0 with 18:24 on the clock.

The Bears nearly tied it with 12:10 left in the first half, but the ball hit the crossbar.

The second half saw the Bears tie the game and sending it into overtime. Each time saw success in OT, with Will Uniake providing the Prescott goal, but Bradshaw Mountain scored as well, that kept the game tied, forcing a second overtime period.

Cade Tutrone broke the 2-2 tie with a goal that would be all the Badgers would need. Prescott added one more for insurance and a 4-2 win.

The Badgers moved up to #17 in the 4A rankings that came out today.

Prescott improves to (4-1-0) in the Grand Canyon Region, and (7-6-1) overall. The Badgers will travel to face Mohave in their final regular season game on Friday, at 5pm.
