Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled along Interstate 17 near Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley roads the week of Feb. 9-14 for the Arizona Department of Transportation’s interchange reconstruction project in that area. Drivers should allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:
- I-17 narrowed to either one or two lanes in both directions overnight in areas near Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley roads from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights (Feb. 9-13) for construction.
- Northbound I-17 off-ramp at Pinnacle Peak Road closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights (Feb. 9-13). Consider exiting at Rose Garden Lane/Deer Valley Road and traveling east to use northbound 19th Avenue to reach Pinnacle Peak Road.
- Southbound I-17 on-ramp at Pinnacle Peak Road closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights (Feb. 9-13). Consider entering southbound I-17 via Happy Valley or Deer Valley roads.
Work schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other factors.
The $50 million I-17 interchange reconstruction project at Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley roads is scheduled for completion this fall.
