Council Memo Printout

a. Willdan Response to RFP

There is not a firm that in Prescott that is able to staff for the City's needs.

Wildan provides all building and safety services.

Standard turnaround in 10 days, expedited in 5.

Drections are to please contact the applicant and work through the issues to get to approval.

Three staff members live in the general area.

Blair thinks an aggressive inspection is important.

Their professionals are all certified.

Wildan sponsors some local non-profits and volunteers with organizations.

"We are committed to an office in Prescott," they said. "It's part of our company plan... I've already made my first hire!"

"We try to send the same staff, so we can stay efficient."

Their staff averages about 15-20 years.

"As a full-service engineering firm, we want you to think of us for any services we can help with."

Councilwoman Rusing notes that they are a publicly traded company. But she also asks if they are needed for specific mass produced, mass graded subdivisions named. The builders will pay through their fees. Wildan gets 75%, the City gets 25%.

Answer: We need to respond to all builders that are doing business with us with respect, efficiency.

Councilman Goode thinks that performance clauses are needed, and also the new software is in place before putting the contract into place.

Wildan is already using the software in question.

Evaluation for the first quarter of the year! And it will help move projects through the pipeline. "I don't anticipate any reduction in production," City Manager Michael Lamar said.

Sischka notes that there are incentives built in.

Some things have changed.

1st quarter of 2020 is the education and information phase.

"Counting Everyone Once and Only Once in the Right Place".

State shared revenues equalled over $400 per person. But that person has to be counted.

There will be a variety of outreach efforts from the City regarding the Census. For the first time in history, people can respond by phone, by mail or online. PO Box holders do not receive a questionnaire.

"Boots on the ground" census takers are called enumerators.
