NO SPEEDING ON ROUTE 69!
Featured

18 December 2019

Getting a ticket is easy. Avoiding one is easier!

The Prescott Valley Police Department has announced a pre-holiday joint endeavor of speed control along State Route 69 on Monday, December 23, 2019 between the hours of 2:00PM to 6:00PM. Any driver traveling ABOVE THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT is subject to a traffic citation. Agencies partnering with PVPD are the Chino Valley Police Department, the Prescott Police Department and the Department of Public Safety. This extra patrol is made possible through a financial grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

The goal of this enforcement is to assist drivers in focusing on highway safety as we enter the holiday season. Increased traffic will include out of state visitors and we want their visit to our Town to be uneventful. Unfortunately, the day before Thanksgiving, a serious five vehicle accident occurred in our Town and we don’t want a repeat of this kind of driving.

If you see any erratic driving, immediately contact your local law enforcement agency.

Prescott Valley Police Department can be contacted at (928) 772-9267 for non-emergencies, 911 for emergencies. You may also contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
