Prescott Council Candidates Share Their Views

By now, residents of the City of Prescott should have received their Primary ballots, which were mailed out to registered voters on July 31. If you did not receive your ballot, August 16, 2019 is the last day to request an early ballot by mail. 

Election Day is August 27.

You have several options to return your ballot - you can mail it, drop it off at City Hall or at the County Offices at 1015 Fair Street. 


Mayor Greg Mengarelli is running unopposed for a two-year term. Four candidates are vying for 3 seats on the City Council: Incumbents Jim Lamerson, Billie Orr and Steve Sischka; plus Cathey Rusing as a first time candidate.

The candidates must receive a majority of the votes in the Primary in order to avoid going to the General Election in November. You can read here how that majority is calculated
