*** On September 9, 2018, Partner’s Against Narcotics Trafficking (P.A.N.T.) Detectives arrested 38-year-old Bryan Scott McLaren Jr. on Badger Springs Road near Interstate 17 in Yavapai County. McLaren was found transporting 61 grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle intended for sales. Over the past several weeks, detectives received information regarding methamphetamine sales in the Chino Valley area involving McLaren who was known to transport meth from Phoenix for sales in Chino Valley and vicinity.

Background - Around 10 PM on September 9, 2018, YCSO K9 deputies stopped McLaren in his tan colored Chevrolet Silverado truck on Badger Springs Road near I17. A K9 deployment for an exterior sniff of the vehicle resulted in a positive alert and the discovery of drug paraphernalia in the cab. In the bushes next to the truck, K9 deputies located more than 61 grams of meth which McLaren eventually admitted he tossed as deputies approached. PANT detectives were called to the scene. McLaren acknowledged using and selling meth which he bought in Phoenix. Detectives also found a small quantity of heroin.
