Yavapai County Supervisor Jack R. Smith serves as a County Supervisor since 2012 and is the Third Vice President of the County Supervisors Association. Supervisor Smith was one of 26 county leaders from across the United States selected to participate in the 15th Annual National Association of Counties (NACo) County Leadership Institute (CLI), a rigorous program offered in partnership with Cambridge Leadership Associates.

This very prestigious program for county officials took place June 3-7, 2018, in Washington, D.C. CLI is a four-day program offered in partnership with Cambridge Leadership Associates. NACo aims to enhance the capability of county officials to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges facing county government.

Supervisor Smith stated, “This absolutely phenomenal leadership program at the NACo Headquarters in Washington DC allowed me to challenge myself as a community leader, to see beyond just a quick solution for a problem but rather, to actively listen to others and assist in finding long term, impactful solutions. Our alumni of Supervisors, Assessors and administrative leadership plan to grow on these skills throughout many years to come.”
