Republican Women of Prescott Host Unexpected Guest

29 October 2008
An unexpected guest arrived at the Republican Women of Prescott's monthly meeting on Tuesday.

palin2.jpgThe Republican Women of Prescott had an unexpected guest on Tuesday, just before their monthly meeting got underway. "Sarah Palin" (or was it just someone who looked like her?) arrived and gave the following speech:

Madame Chairman, members and guests of Republican Women of Prescott, I am honored to be a guest of this group…the largest Republican Women’s group in Arizona and one of the largest in this amazing country…the United States of America!

When I accepted the nomination for Vice President of the United States, it was because of the opportunity to serve with and support Senator John McCain…a man of determination, resolve and sheer guts. And, I believe that in this crucial hour of our country, that we not only need John McCain to keep fighting for our freedom and holding those accountable for our country’s missteps, but we also needed a person who comes from the rural community, who has worked feverishly against big government and pork barrel spending. We pledge to you that you caan count on the McCain-Palin administration to help families keep homes by cleaning up the corruption on Wall Street and the greed that brought us this financial crisis to begin with. Sen. McCain will implement a pro-private sector, pro-growth plan that will get our economy back on track AND an economy that will be stimulated by letting YOU keep more of the hard-earned money you deserve.

You see, the problem is that our opponent wants the public to be dependent on government from cradle to grave. Senator Obama’s tax plan will ultimately punish hard work, discourage productivity and stifle the entrepreneurial spirit that has made this country the greatest country in the world. Gee, I don’t know about you, but I believe hard working people of the United States of America and Prescott Arizona should be rewarded for their hard work, their commitment to our constitutional rights and for their vision for keeping our country the safest in the world.

Before I go back on the campaign trail, let me thank your President Mary Williams and close friend Jenny Spenard for this amazing opportunity to be with you. Let me leave you with a final thought.

Golly, a writer once observed when talking about President Harry Truman “We grow good people in our small towns, with honesty, integrity and dignity.” You know what, you are those good people who will help the McCain Palin get to the White House and bring justice to those who want to keep spending money…your money. We promise to bring accountability to congress…and we will not redistribute your wealth, we will distribute opportunities that will reward hard work, commitment and integrity. Finally we will fight for your rights, uphold the constitution and promise to bring strong character and ethics to Capital Hill.

Thank you and God Bless America!

After that, Palin's look-alike waved to the crowd and returned to the campaign trail.

Tammy Linn, the current RWOP Chaplain, was late to the meeting. Another person led the opening prayer in Linn's place as the meeting got started.
