Transference

Transference found on the political landscape.

Transference is generally thought of as psychological term. In today's contentious political climate it is the word that best describes the comments and actions of leftist politicians and their sycophantic press. In the political sense, transference means accusing one's political opponents of actions and policies of which the accuser himself is guilty.

The examples are everywhere on the political landscape. The left charges Trump with “collusion” with the Russians. The leftist Democrats and the main stream media must think that Americans are stupid and have no memory. (There is some justification for this view since this is where the Democrats obtain a significant portion of their voter base and the progressive press gets their readership.)

It is all too apparent that the followers and readers of the new left propaganda don't remember or don't care that, prior to the 2012 election, President Obama told Russian President Medvedev, “Tell Vlad, after the election I'll have more flexibility.” (This was in regard to several issues, including missile defense.) Maybe they don't think that was collusion,

They didn't think it was collusion when the Obama Administration approved a deal that gave a Russian Company the rights to mine about 20% of uranium in the US. They don't think that it is collusion when the Hillary campaign and the Democrats paid for a dossier, based on false information from Russian intelligence sources that accused candidate Trump of all kinds of nefarious deeds that had no facts to back them up. No investigation has turned up any evidence. So the Democrats transferred their own collusion with the Russians to accuse Trump of collusion.

Every time President Trump opens his mouth, the more radical members of the press and Democrat Party, accuse him of lying. President Obama seemed to be accusing Trump of not telling the truth in his campaign. Trump promised to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. Obama asked how Trump was going to do that, with “a magic wand?” Trump has brought manufacturing jobs back to our country. Obama said that couldn't happen, so who is the liar?

Please don't forget the many other prevarications told by Obama and members of his administration. “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance,” “The Affordable Care Act will save … family $2400.00 a year.” Benghazi was caused by a video, His administration denied any of the guns from their “Fast and Furious” project got into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels until the murder of a Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was traced to one of those guns.

The radical left politicians and press are always charging Trump with being a racist, of fostering racist attitudes and of using racist terms. They can't really give examples, so they state that some of his words are “dog whistles,” meaning that racist understand these words to denigrate certain groups. It seems like only those with progressive leanings have this acute canine hearing ability.

They evidently don't see the racism they project when black conservatives express their views, Words like “Oreo” or “Uncle Tom” don't need to be heard through a dog whistle to be seen as racist. When Kanye West expressed his support for President Trump at the White House, black CNN commentator Bakari Sellers said, “Kanye West is what happens when Negroes don't read.” On the same program, Tara Setmayer said of West, “He's all of a sudden a model spokesperson. He's the token Negro for the Trump administration?” It must not be racist to make derogatory statements against persons of one's own race if they disagree with your opinions.

Finally, at the zenith of their asininity, the far left, progressive, globalist, socialist extremists are claiming that President Trump has caused the mass murder at the synagogue in Pennsylvania by his antisemitic words and acts. Donald Trump, the most pro-Israel President ever. The man with a Jewish daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Other than their imaginary dog whistles, they cannot point to any antisemitic acts or statements by President Trump. They can transfer their anti-Israeli, anti-Jewish, pro-Palestinian views, actions and statements when charging President Trump with antisemitism. These leftists should remember the old childhood saying, “When you point an accusing finger at someone, three fingers are pointing back at you.”
