March 6, 2017 Prescott, Arizona - A warm breeze. Birds chirping. The first green buds stretch toward the sunshine of longer days. Spring is in full swing! To celebrate this magical season, Watters Garden Center is hosting its 56th annual Spring Open House for the entire weekend of March 16-18. Get ready to see the newest, most unique, beautiful plants with vibrant color and vigor that not only beautify your home garden, but can thrive in our northern Arizona soil. Experts, farmers, and growers are traveling from all over the country to show our local gardeners the best bloomers, elegant evergreens, and fragrant flowers.
Friday March 16th starts off the celebration with a St. Patrick's Day inspired giveaway of a free shamrock with the purchase of evergreens. The garden center will be bursting with new arrivals!
Saturday March 17th features a fun, information-packed, free class and demonstration at 9:30am. Participants will hear from the growers in the know, plant experts, and special guest speakers about the newest plants and traditional favorites, along with tricks of the trade to be a better, more successful gardener. Experts will be on hand to help with container gardening, pest problems, and more!
Open to the gardening public, the weekend-long event will feature giveaways, impromptu free gardening classes, gorgeous new plants, and expert advice for new and experienced gardeners alike. Watters believes that plants make people happier, so come in and shrug off any leftover winter blues and get your hands dirty.
