County Superintendent Tim Carter thanks the Prescott Sunrise Lions Club.

Dear Editor,

The members of the Prescott Sunrise Lions Club continue to provide students throughout Yavapai County with toys at Christmas. The Lions collect the toys at their annual Christmas event and our school nurses distribute them to students who most need some Christmas cheer. Thank you Lions.

By the way, if you are still looking for an avenue to direct your tax credits for the year, the Prescott Sunrise Lions Foundation is a great partner, providing you with literally dozens of options about how to direct your gift. Many of those options benefit our young people, but all of them help support our neighbors right here in Yavapai County. There is no overhead, since the Lions are all volunteers, every dollar they receive supports the communities in which we live. They certainly honor the Lion’s motto of “we serve”. As the donor, you get up to a $400. (filing single) or $800.00 (fling jointly) dollar for dollar tax credit on your Arizona return. This is separate from school tax credits. Thankfully, in Arizona, you can do both. To learn more, simply go to www.Prescottsunriselionsclub.org, or send a check to the club at PO Box 985, Prescott, Az. 86302.
