Wildflower Bread Company Takes Fresh Approach With New Location

31 July 2017

“Is Wildflower moving?” Prescott locals knead to know.

The answer is, “Yes, but not very far. No need for concern.”

That’s good, because the people of Prescott fell in love with Wildflower Bread Company when it first opened its doors fifteen years ago, and that love affair has only gotten stronger over time.

So, here’s the scoop: Wildflower Bread is essentially scooting out of their current location and relocating to a pad along Highway 69 on the left just as you turn into the Gateway Mall. How close, you ask? Pretty darned close. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to see it overlooking the highway quite easily.

There will be more seating, an increased patio area and lots more parking dedicated to Wildflower customers. WooHoo!

Here, take a sneak peek look at the preliminary rendering:

As City Manager Michael Lamar noted, Wildflower is more than simply a restaurant, it’s a community meeting place. And that’s not about to change. It has the signature Wildflower bright and cheery interior and seating flexible enough to accommodate big or small groups.

This is an exciting project for the company, because although some other Wildflower location buildings are free-standing, this will be the first wholly-owned property (land and building) for the company.  Wildflower hopes to have the building completed this winter, with a grand opening in January, 2018.

Wildflower founder Louis Basile offers a few words to those attending the groundbreaking ceremonies.

By the way, did you know? Wildflower was founded in Arizona and is still solely an Arizonan company.

Full disclosure: The author’s husband is a long-term Breadhead, having worked at Wildflower for over 10 years.
